Adopting through Corner of Kindness Animal Rescue couldn't be easier. We know it's a huge decision to add another animal to your family. We strive to make our adoption process as easy as possible so you don't have to wait long to start getting those cuddles and kisses from your future family member!
Step 1:
Find your future family member
Browse through our available animals and fall in love with their adorable faces. Be sure to submit an adoption application for the animal(s) you're interested in meeting.
Our volunteers will review your application and the foster family will reach out to you regarding next steps. Typically this would be a meet & greet so you can meet your potential new family member and decide if they're a good fit for your family.
After meeting the animal(s), we ask you to take time to think it over and ensure this is the best match for your family. We'll do the same.
Step 2:
Home Visit
Once you've determined which animal will be joining your family, Corner of Kindness requires a home visit to be completed.
This is a time for us to ensure that you've prepared your home for your new addition. We'll help you ensure you're ready for crate & potty training, exercise requirements, chewing/scratching, or any other things that are typical when an animal moves to a new home. This is also a great time to ask for tips on training or on how to best welcome your new animal.
Don't be nervous - we aren't looking to judge your home or yard. We're just looking to ensure the best fit & safety for our animals.
Step 3:
Pay Adoption Fee & Enjoy!
After the home visit is completed, there are just a few quick steps left:
1. Complete the adoption contract. You can learn more about this on our adoption policy page.
2. Submit your payment via paypal, check or cash. Checks will need to clear the bank before you can take ownership of your animal.
3. Get ready for lots of kisses & cuddles! After we have proof of payment, the foster parent will contact you about a time for the animal to join your home!
